Platform Modernization · Odoo 19
RackUSA: 87% adoption in 10 days.
RackUSA has been building industrial racking for 50 years, across two legal entities and several business units in the US and Mexico. Their ERP had never taken hold — only 3 of 24 users were active in it, and production work had moved outside the system entirely. We rebuilt their data model from the ground up and brought the whole business onto one connected Odoo 19 platform. Within 10 days of go-live, 87% of the team was working in it.
An ERP only 3 of 24 people used — production, contacts, and sales-order revisions all tracked by manual workaround instead.
9 Odoo 19 modules · rebuilt data model · master-data cleanup · multi-type BOMs · two-week bilingual sprint cycle.
87% adoption in 10 days · 99% of manual workarounds removed · zero disruption to their largest retail account.
An ERP only 3 of 24 people were using.
RackUSA has been building industrial racking for 50 years, across two legal entities and several business units in the US and Mexico. They already had an ERP, but it had never taken hold on the shop floor — only 3 of 24 users were active in it.
The gaps were structural. Products weren’t categorized, and nobody could follow the chain from bill of materials to manufacturing order, so production work moved outside the system entirely. Contact records didn’t match, sales order revisions went untracked, and website leads landed in the wrong places. Every one of those problems had a manual workaround, and the workarounds had become the real system.
One platform, rebuilt from the data up.
The engagement started with an on-site discovery week, delivered in English and Spanish, to see how the business actually ran before recommending anything. From there, the team rebuilt RackUSA’s data model so every order could be traced from sale through production to accounting, with one clean source of truth, then brought every part of the business onto a single Odoo 19 instance.
- 9 Odoo 19 modules in production — CRM, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Manufacturing, Quality, Accounting, HR, and Website
- Cleaned and standardized master data, including a full physical count that cut the catalog from about 9,816 to 900 active SKUs
- Configured complex multi-type bills of materials and re-assigned 9,418 products to new routes and work centers
- Built dashboards for real-time operational and production visibility · set product and project margin costing baselines
- Two-week sprints with on-site and remote testing, training, and retraining, in both English and Spanish
RackUSA works in Google Workspace, not Microsoft Teams, and that created some friction early on. Rather than ask them to change, the team adjusted its own process to meet them where they work. The client called that out in their review.
A system the whole team actually uses.
The cutover was sequenced to protect RackUSA’s largest retail account, and went through with zero disruption. After a stable go-live, the relationship grew — RackUSA signed a 12-month application management support agreement and a 4-month Phase 2, so the work continues well past launch.
“Incipient Corp.’s most impressive aspect, and the reason we selected them, is their experience with manufacturers.”
One connected platform replaced the legacy ERP nobody used. Product and project margin costing baselines run alongside real-time production dashboards. Phase 2 scoped during implementation, running 4 months past go-live.
